Xylophone Tunes

How to play

Your child plays an eight-bar xylophone where every bar has its own colour, number and animal, from the big low elephant to the little high bird. Bars light up and sing a short tune and your child taps it back; only the order of the notes counts, never the speed, so it feels like making music rather than a test. Levels grow from spotting which of two notes is higher or lower, to copying tunes of two to five notes, to the opening phrases of songs like Twinkle Twinkle, Mary Had a Little Lamb and Ode to Joy, and finally free play. There is no losing: a wrong bar gets a gentle hint, and every finished level brings a new animal musician onto the concert stage.
